Activity 3: Pronouncing ه – ح – خ – ص – س

The letter ح is a voiceless sound. When you say the letter ح, you do not feel the vibration in your throat. On the other hand, the letter ه is a voiced sound. You feel the vibration in your throat while pronouncing it.

The letter خ is a voiced sound. It comes out from the lowest part of the throat.

The letter س is a voiceless sound. It is pronounced when the tip of the tongue is fronted. On the other hand, the letter ص is a voiceless sound. It is pronounced when the tongue is drawn far up and back in the mouth.
